V2.2 Released - New Level, New Weather System, New Mini Boss, and much more!

Note to Player:

  • Sorry for the delay! Have been working hard to get this bug-free, and that took a long time. But the wait is over!

New features:

  • New Level
    • Welcome to Rip Ride Rapids! 
    • A new level skip that let's you skip level 2 and reach level 3 much quicker.
    • This secret area can only be accessed if there's a thunderstorm, and you'll also need a way to traverse up waterfalls...
  • Windmills & New Weather System
    • Level 1 now features windmills! 
    • Breaking the magic jars inside will activate the windmill, and cause rain to fall.
  • New Mini- Boss
    • The 5entaur is now accessible in Rip Ride Rapids!
    • The reward for defeating this challenging enemy is a big one... you can't skip it!
  • Weapon Selector & updated gates
    • Previously there have been static red gates (blue gates are part of a later update). Now the red gates can sometimes be opened by breaking their associated magic jars.
    • With this is also the introduction of weapon selectors. These appear randomly and allow the player to select between one of two weapon options.
  • Level End Screen
    • Now at the end of the level, a summary screen is displayed showing the player's run progress so far.
    • This is also hiding a troubling load that was freezing the game, so saving/ loading is much clearer and smoother for the player.
  • Updates to teleportation and music playing
    • When the player teleports (or moves between doors/ scenes), they must wait a moment before teleporting again. Previously this was instant, and it was causing confusion.
    • Music should play much smoother without glitches now, and fade out of sound is much quicker when leaving certain areas.
  • Updated UI
    • A few minimal new features have been added, such as the player seeing how much magic has been collected
  • All screen sizes and resolutions now accepted!
    • Previously 16:9 was forced. Now the game will update based on whatever resolution you prefer.
    • Of course this is not a perfect feature. For example, I have an ultrawide monitor, and there are visible UI issues.
  • Bug fixes
    • This was probably half of the effort for this update.
    • A TON of bugs have been fixed, so it's not worth listing them all here.
